Welcome to A Better Me (ABM)
Healing begins with a voice. Rebuilding begins with a choice.
Founded by survivor and advocate Debbie Ali Williams, A Better Me (ABM) is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Arcola, Texas, dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. Through community partnerships, we provide critical support services and host events to raise awareness and funding.
Why We Exist
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner.
Every minute, an average of 20 people are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States.
Survivors often face barriers to housing, financial stability, and emotional healing.
